got myself a Walbro GSL392 255lph universal inline external fuel pump for the swap and hardware to wire it up thinking about making a surge tank as well and adding a second fuel pump but still haven't decided with the truck being a 74 the tank has no return line on it and their is no baffles inside the tank

I decided to go with the z32(26mm) calipers from a 90 Nissan 300zx(Non-Turbo) not that its any better than the hardbody calipers either route is an upgrade for this truck didn't want to deal with front drums got pads, rotors are from a 02 Honda Passport, and the hardware for the calipers thinking about using some of the dupli caliper paint to brighten them up a little still need to get brake lines which i haven't decided if i will just buy the d21 rear brake line rubber hoses or just go to my local race shop and have them make me some of the steel braided line, and I'm also waiting on BEEBANI Z32 caliper brackets to finish up the front disk swap

i decided to refurbish my wheel hubs since I had a wobble on the wheel and upon further inspection the bearings were bad and the left side was trashed and dry. I got the wheel seals inner and outer bearings all from rockauto the pictures has part numbers for any one wanting to tackle their wheel hubs it not hard just make sure to take your time and inspect everything you do twice at least i do to make sure i get everything on the dot well here are the pictures still not finish putting it all together but as soon as i get it going i will take picture of it

another thing i wanted to tackle was my tension rods as you can see in the pictures the bushings were gone so i needed to replace them but i searched every where for replacements but i couldn't find any for my year model truck my is a 74 i found for later models trucks with a metal center bushing which is different from my tension rods so upon further researching i found that you can use the bushings of the sway bar links you just have to cut both ends off just enough to get them to fit 4 bushings on the rod two on the front and two on the rear. I did this and on my first try i didn't cut them small enough so i couldn't get it on the truck so all i did was rub them on the concrete sort of like sanding them down and after a while of rubbing i got enough off to make them fit and the end result love it looks great with the added paint to them

alright i got around to putting the new bearings into the wheel hubs today here is the process i did just remember to take your time and grease them up nicely first i pounded in the lug studs cleaned them up with a wire brush as well as the hubs so they look good just went an extra mile but not necessary

Remember to be generous when you are lubing up the hubs and i didn't have a wheel bearing grease packer so i did it the old fashioned way grabbed a glop of grease and pack it until you could see it come out thru the other side

Ok so when i pulled the L18 out of the truck i scrubbed off some of the gunk that was on the frame cause it was pretty bad i then left it for a while and it started to form some surface rust so what i did was buy some black paint to spray it on did a little more cleaning and then some sanding looks a lot better now I'm also thinking about taking off the bed to spray the whole frame but i will save that task for another day

So I decided to buy some rubbing compound and wax so i could get the old and tired paint on the truck to shine again cause I like what heretic did to his red and green Datsun 620 gave me the inspiration to do it to my truck and i got to say just after using only the compound it looks great    loving it can't wait to use the wax but it has been a long and tiring process got to say i used a lot of elbow grease for this little project I'm tackling here but well worth the effort

So here is the picture of when i just started to use it on a piece to see the result love it

and here is the one where I'm almost done with the door and i only used the rubbing compound on it

Thanks 5t341tH it has turn into a longer project than I had expected and not to mention all the elbow grease that comes with it and well the money but never the less in my eyes it's well worth it I'm loving how it's turning out and I can't wait to get it all done and on the road again.
