MOTO
What kind of oil was is in it before the oil change? I prefer AC Delco filters and parts, or if you can get a factory part or filter(?). I don't know how much difference a filter would make in an older engine though. probably 10w30 or 40. Maybe 15/40? Unless you have super high miles and she rattles a lot. Then heavier... Edit: how much does your oil pressure change from cold to hot? (psi when cold, psi when at operating temp?) Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Walmart 10w40 + Fram powerguard. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
http://community.ratsun.net/topic/19380-fram-oil-filters-fail/ Fram used to be the best, now are just a name. They have been shown to be poorly made with poor materials and used by cheap ass owners trying to save $3.00. There is no problem finding something better. Oil 15W40 Chevron Dello400 or Shell Rotella T are reasonable. Quote Link to comment
dr.feltersnatch
I use chevron delo oil and either wix or napa gold filters. Filters are more expensive but worth it. Quote Link to comment
