ggzilla
1981 Datsun 210 voltage regulator is inside the alternator. Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
^^^^^^ he types faster pretty sure the voltage regulator is internal in the alternator on that car Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
ALL Nissan/Datsuns has internally regulated alternators from '78 on. If not charging, the brushes may be bad, alternator no good fusible link blown not allowing the alternator to charge the battery, the battery no good or loose cables. Is the charge light on?? The_Daily_Datsun
Yea my red amp light is on I thought it was my battery so I got a new one nothing so I now guessing its the alternator. Shouldnt be to bad its right up front. easy fix. I also was wondering when and how to get new fuses when there bad and such Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
For $10 you can often get a replacement set of brushes for your alternator. May not be the problem but cheap fix if it is. Auto parts stores will have fuses. I just fill my pockets with fuses from the wrecking yards. Quote Link to comment
