gus280z
In my search for a 383 I found my self looking 76 620 that had been swapped with a 383 and a 700r4 the guy was selling it for a decent price and now its in my drive way. Unfortunately i have no desire to keep the truck even though im starting to like it more and more when i see what the finished projects look like. The problem is that right now i have 2 other projects, my 280z and my r75/6....... So my question is: what is this stuff worth? i figure you guys would know better than anyone else. The truck has a hydraulic operated dump bed, trans am rear end with disc brakes, restored (sand blasted and powder coated) frame, dash in perfect condition, and 1 door :D.... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Worth what ever you paid to get your money back. Sad really. Unlikely anyone will want to take on a half finished project. It's value is in it's parts. Maybe a chebby owner that wants the drive train? The body will just be thrown away. Quote Link to comment

mcordero8
If your dash is original it is probably worth 383 it is hard to find a nice dash like that 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I think it the chevy stroker version. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Back in the 80s we used to take Chevy 350 and put in a 400 crank to make 383 cubic inch 350 stroker motor. Until we learned that the 400 engine was faster. Now GM builds a small block up to 427 cubic inches even though guys say the rod-stroke ratio is bad it is still faster. Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
i might be interested in the bed Quote Link to comment

There are a couple reason a 400 is better than a 350 , the 400 block has extra ports for steam cast in them allowing the 400 to run way cooler and make more power. To bad it won't see the road again , to bad its not in pnw , we would make it happen . It would make a sweet ratrod " ratsun" Quote Link to comment
