That is a cargo box, A few companies used these in states that had trailer length laws that kept them from using longer trailers to haul lightweight freight. After national laws were passed to make it uniform from state to state things changed, that is why you don't see many cabover trucks like was popular in the 60s and 70s. 3 Quote Link to comment
