yellowdatsun
So I have my 510 track project up on jackstands, and that's when I noticed the diff has two fins/ribs running front to back on the bottom. I've had a lot of 510's over the years, and never seen one like this. Does anyone know what the significance of these ribs are, or what kind of diff this is? Quote Link to comment
erichwaslike
i know the ribs are for case strength and to help with cooling... no idea on the diff itself tho.... Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Could just be left over from the casting process and not ground off. Quote Link to comment
Farmer Joe
is it LSD? if not, nothin special.. its just extra casting. Quote Link to comment
yellowdatsun
Appears to be an open diff. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
The guy that grinds that part off was gone that day Quote Link to comment
