Kathos
Ive been working on lowing my 710. 3" blocks in the back. Both sides seemed pretty normal after I did it. Then I bought new thicker wheels, and I wanted to make sure that they wouldnt hit the fenders when pushed up into the fender. So I jacked up underneeth the leafspring mount and looked around and it cleared. Now I noticed that that side sits lower then the otherside. Its pretty much sitting on the bump stops but the otherside has half an inch. I tried using a 3/8 block extra to even it out and it didnt seem to change the wheel gap at all. Anyone have any ideas how to even it out? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Drive it around to equalize it. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
if it doesn't settle after driving it, you can swap leafs between sides it might take a bit of swapping to get it level.Could there be something else as a issue. Load in the back? Worn bushings? Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
im with redeye, how are the leaf spring bushings? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
First is the car not level or is it the bump stop that isn't level? Measure down from a common point on either side of the car. Like the rocker panel just ahead of the rear wheel arch. Ignore the bump stops for now. Quote Link to comment
Kathos
Its the car that is definitely sitting uneven. I found out that there is a metal mount or something that sticks down just above the rear end. Im guessing its acting like a pivot so I can only lower one side by taking away from the other. Give me some time to drive it around and well see if it fixes itself. I havent driven it yet this year. Quote Link to comment
Kathos
Fixed! Initially, I dropped the front driverside supension half a coil further then the passengers side because they were evenly dropped visually and I didnt want to over drop the passengers side. This caused a pivot placing the majority of the weight on the rear drivers side and front passengers side. My stiff frame made it so that any drop in the front drivers, would pick up the rear passengers side. Evening out the front springs fixed my issue. 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yes, yes, yes. Exactly. Everything affects everything else in suspension. Quote Link to comment
