Telkwa
Anyone done this? I've got the fenders off, so it'd be a good time to install something that replaces the long chrome whip. When I go to websites selling stubby antennas there are specific models for specific cars. There's a hole in the fender that needs to be filled. I would think that just about any stubby that's broad enuf at the base would work? Maybe the manufacturer's OEM cable adds complexity. That's not an issue with this old truck. I removed the original cable. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I like the windshield pillar antennas myself, I think they go with the lines the best. Quote Link to comment
720life
Get some bondo and shave that sucker off then go and get one of those "Digital Antennas" from Best Buy. Its a black box looking thing that you can put under the hood, tuck it under the dash or pretty much anywhere. Much better reception too. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
In the DSM world we used to use S2000 stubby antennas. They were pretty good about being universal and looked good. Like Wayno said, Im not sure if the updated styling of any stubby antenna will look good with the 720 lines. Quote Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
you just need a sweet antenna ball Quote Link to comment
Jdm720
I put a 76 ball on mine and dealt with it... Quote Link to comment
Telkwa
I'm thinking of maybe something like this. Not unlike the original, but a bit more modern looking. The truck will be mostly white and black so a black antenna might look OK. Quote Link to comment
wayno
This is not a 720, but it goes in the same place on a 720, this is the best way to mount an antenna in my opinion, driverside or passenger side, it makes no difference. 1 Quote Link to comment
