Front Signals

I picked up some turn signals the other week from Frank and Ice. I got around to redoing the front of my car and went to install them and they were way too big. My car is a 71........is there a bigger light assy for a diffrent year? Why wont they fir in my valance.....just too long by an inch or so:confused:

I thought only the 68 69 had smaller signal lights... could the valance have been swapped with an earlier model??

I'd look for weld seams between the firewall and core support to see if the front end has been replaced. I'd also double check the VIN on the firewall :)
