bananahamuck
Flipping those springs will probably be way to much down,,, try taking just that really short overload spring out.. It seems like just that alone dropped back about a inch.. If i remember correctly you will need to make some kinda spacer to make up for it not being in the pile... I am not talking you out of going to the ground if you have enough clearance but if the rear goes down the front has to also,,,,and THAT is when the money starts flowing. Quote Link to comment
robopineapple
Im going honda style and just cutting the fronts haha. ill liik in to removing it... the blocks come tomorrow so ill keep yah posted! Quote Link to comment
elmerfudpucker
The air shocks on back and front struts are new, keep that in mind. You got to let the air out to drop the back Quote Link to comment
robopineapple
I took the air out on the second day i had it haha Quote Link to comment
robopineapple
finished it all up this morning! i didnt have very much room to work on the rear and the weather wasnt very good: picked up the blocks from my place: before the blocks: started to get in to it, after deciding flipping the springs was not going to happen we removed the two smaller leafs: I DONT SUGGEST THIS SET TO ANYONE! look at the difference haha. we had to bend all of the u bolts to make them work: we also drilled these out cause the u bolts were to fat... we ended up using a drill press: blah blah blah the blocks are in, pain in the ass threading the nut up that far: this is how it was sitting last night: this morning we got up early to cut the front springs! i know that its not ideal but whatevs. here is the before picture for the front: tiny strut and coil: i forgott to take a picture after with the tape measure, but we dropped it three inches.... we had to roll my fenders, looks batter then before in my opinion. anyways! this is how my goon is sitting now!! im very happy with it: next step... paint for sure 2 Quote Link to comment

robopineapple
After about seven hours, i have to pump the gas 5-10 times just to start the car. after it warms up it starts perfectly fine. Pumkin dave did help with the wagon before i got it... so maybe they are lined in gold ;) Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
sounds more like the choke to me,, have you taken air cleaner off when it is stone cold to see if it`s closed? Weber? Are you going to the BBq in puyallup on the 31st? cuz you should.. :) Quote Link to comment
robopineapple
My choke has never really been put together cause it makes it worse... i have all the peices for it though. its a weber. Link me to the bbq yo Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
weird that it would make the problem worse.. If you don`t pump gas it won`t start? Maybe the linkage wasn`t right when tried it ,,is it a electric or manual choke?? I have my choke wired open because i am way to cheap to buy parts and that`s exactly how mine starts when cold link,, http://community.ratsun.net/topic/56793-mark-it-aug-31/ There is also another thread for same thing.. labeled Datsun woodstock,, but they are the same parties. ...Most in my party don`t drink,, so if your sober you won`t be alone.. Just don`t get between me and my BBQ,,, yo. Quote Link to comment
robopineapple
Oh i stumbled upon that a couple days ago... only problem is im already taking the 24th to the 30th off for camping... maybe ill take it off anyways. i dont drink or nothin, but i am a bbq lover. ill mess with the choke on monday to see if i cant figure it out. its a manual choke. if i dont pump, it wont even get close to starting Quote Link to comment
elmerfudpucker
It is the choke (prior experience), sometimes it will close and stick too, get it reconnected and you should be ok. 1 Quote Link to comment

robopineapple
how big is your sons sub?? fuck in A! i went to the arlintington pick n pull because naner gave a heads up on the 79 goon that was there. i pulled the bumper hood thing, the gas pedal, and a part of the center consol that i was missing... the bumper visor was a yellow color\: so i hit it with some paint thinner: it was just a boring grey color as bare metal: blah blah blah yesterday i went out and bought a shit load of sand paper so i could polish the bitch: and here is the final product: Im super happy with it, its almost as shiny as my bumper which was my ultimate goal... i cant get it to sit right on my wagon, its all warped and shit and i cant stand the gap it has from the clips. im going to try and figure out a way to get rid of 'em. Here is my other new toy.. i have had it for like three weeks now: its a 13' jl sub, the amp is a jbl1200... this shit bumps hard! here are some fun oics from the night of the installation: Sorry about the long update :D its been a while!!
