DaBlist Posted February 28, 2013 Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 I have seen glue in windshields used in old style cars front and back that where originally gasketed where they weld metal into the opening so there is only an .25" gap around the glass and glass sits flush with body, then use a modern style molding that is a narrow rubber that fills the gap with a smooth lip that over laps the body and the glass but is still pretty narrow and flush. This looks more modern and aerodynamic than the original gasket. Not sure what the point would be if you still end up with a big rubber molding like shown in the above link. Quote Link to comment
