Cranked the engine over by hand 10 times and found the output shaft rotated about 2.5 times. Did you mean 10 crank shaft revolutions or 10 complete engine revolutions? 2 crank revolutions = one engine revolution? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted February 1, 2013 Report Share Posted February 1, 2013 One crankshaft rev is one engine rev. 2 crank revs is one complete 4 cycle. 10 crankshaft turns in first gear should turn the output close ratio............... 3.38 times mid close ratio........ 3.73 times ultra close ratio....... 5.38 times Sorry Doug the picture was from an FS5C71B competition (Nismo)unit. wayno Posted February 1, 2013 Report Share Posted February 1, 2013 I am having a hard time with this, there is no brass. I turn the imput shaft 10 times and counted 3.38 turns, I bought this from a Washington resident along with a bunch of other U20 parts and a 411sss oilpan, he expressed that he had put new bearings in it. It has what looks like the same synchros that the R16 4 speed has(bottom access plate) that I put in backwards and had to redo 3 times before I got it correct. I am suspecting that this transmission has issues, otherwise why would he have sold it for so cheap. Quote Link to comment
