Your dryer outlet may be a different style, but I'd just make an adapter cable so you can use different types of outlets. I run my welder, electric oven (powder coating:cool:), or my 220v compressor off an extension cable made from these parts. Excellent quality cord...I've had mine sitting in the california sun for about 2 years now and it's still basically like new. Quote Link to comment

SHADY280 Posted July 3, 2008 Report Share Posted July 3, 2008 get 220v. it makes a huge diff, even on sheet metal. 110 actually warps the metal easier due to the fact you gotta stay there longer to actually make a proper weld. 220 does it in a 1/4 second, 110, 1 second. Quote Link to comment
