SakuraGarage
Anyone know of a parts interchange for a 1200 gas cap. I've lost mine. I know that roadster, 240, 260, 280z caps wont work. I've done a fair amount of searching and haven't come up with anything. Quote Link to comment

bananahamuck
The charts flawed ,, if you put a stock 76-77 celica liftback gas cap on you would never be able to shut fuel door. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Entirely possible. That interchange is for Stant G806 I wouldn't buy any of those aftermarket caps. The Nissan cap ($25) is far better, and you can find them at Pick-n-Pull so I have an extra. Nissan Part Numbers 17264-18000 PACKING-cap [the sealing washer] $0.92 17251-U7402 CAP-filler It is a sealed cap, no pressure relief (only vacuum relief), so that it cannot vent gas out on down the side of your 1200. SakuraGarage
Thanks guys, I tried an early 280z cap and it doesn't fit I should be able to find a late 280 in the junk yard as they are heaps and most of us Z guys avoid them like an STD. (I have a 2 240z's, a 260z, and an early 280z, none would seal correctly.). Ill call Larry H. Miller Nissan and see if they can order me a 1200 specific one otherwise I guess Rock Auto it is. I never Order stuff from rock auto because its usually junk and/or they send me the wrong parts. Thanks for the Part number GGzilla! Quote Link to comment
