A 510 4 speed should work too if you put a 40mm core or frost plug in the end of your 521 front spline.

521 4 speed below. Remove nut and slid that spline out of the old transmission.

Below is the 521 front spline that bolts up to the rest of the driveshaft. The 510 transmission won't use the big nut that was on the 521 transmission so the hole needs to be sealed to keep tranny fluid in.

Dogleg tranny shown but the 510s F4W63 will be the same.

An exact gearing match to the 521 would be the 510 wagon (wide ratio) but the sedan 4 speed will work just as well if not using for a work truck. A '72/'73 620 4 speed used with the L16 is the same as the 510 goon and will also work.

More choices..

F4W71B 4 speed. Wow I see it has a flange out put just like the 521 (unless you slipped one on to keep from rusting)

The were on the '72 and up Z car, '74 and up 620s and 720s till '83ish, 280zx and 810 Maxima through '79,

I didn't put the flange on there, but you got me curious, so I went out there and pulled the yoke out, that flange was just put on there, it looks just like the 1980 datsun 720 4X4 longshaft 4 speed I had.

Dude,, you fucked up

there`s one laying in an old covered trailer just on the other side of the steel fence,, that i would have thrown in the bus stop deal with Tim`s alternator for free last Saturday..Just to not have to move it around anymore.

Although you would have run the risk of Banner and Izzo rubbing their bare penises on it.
