Laecaon
go look at the scrub boy ka build thread i got pics there of it Except that is single cam and is easy to convert to a matchbox or something else similar. I have seen 1 picture of a dual cam with a vacuum dizzy sitting on it. I would say, take out your current dizzy, and see how different from a L-series one it is. Quote Link to comment
Wide14u
i didn't even see the de on it Quote Link to comment
Farmer Joe
i think it depends if its a DE from a truck or a car. the car engine has the dist off the front side of the head vs the frontier engine that has the common L/Z/KA-e oil pump drive and distributor setup. you need a frontier engine to do it.. the 240 engine youre gonna have to one off a dist. Stoffregen Motorsports
It sounds like you're looking for an easy solution. I don't think there is one. Like Farmer Joe said, if it's not a truck motor, you are going to have some work ahead of you. Quote Link to comment
Ihatethenw
Would like to get spark while I wait for my intake to show up!!! Quote Link to comment

Ihatethenw
^what I dick! I was just looking for options! Jeezz Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
He is not being a dick... Just realistic... I still like my idea, take your current dizzy, and a L20b matchbox or maybe even a Z series as those might be more common, and compare the differences in their drives. You might need to weld something onto the Matchbox one, or cut it shorter, or... ... whatever it takes to make the matchbox one operate the same. Quote Link to comment
Ihatethenw
^ that's what I was thinking.. It don't matter were the gear on the dizzy goes right as long as points to #1 on tdc? The rotor that is.. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
It doesnt matter where the rotor points, as long as at TDC, it points to one of the 4 wires. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Gear? You need to stop talking and start doing. L20B distributor doesn't have a gear. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Gear? You need to stop talking and start doing. L20B distributor doesn't have a gear. He clearly corrected to rotor at the end of the sentence... Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Clearly? Gear and rotor dont even look alike Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Clearly? Gear and rotor dont even look alike No one said they did. Its a slip of the mind, and many people dont correct their typing mistakes... Quote Link to comment
