Chunk86
Ok so new to the forum and datsun's in general (I am a watercooled VW guy). I have been looking for a truck for a while and just sold off an 83 VW Jetta so had some cash. There is a guy who owns a small towing company down the street from where i work and I noticed the truck there and have been drooling over it for the last 7 months. Drove by the other day and talked to the guy and we struck a deal at 750$. Drove it over to my work and had to let it sit there for the week till saturday so i could have someone go with me to pick it up (i work in Spokane WA and live in Post Falls ID). So when i went to pick it up two of the tires where flat so we had Les Schwab look at them and they fixed the bead leak and one had a bad stem. Also earlier in the morning we stoped by the North Pull and Save, scored a bench seat (going to cover with some Indian blankets i have laying around) and a sliding back window. Today i took out the bucket seats and test fit the bench seat (perfect and way more comfortable then the buckets and makes the cab feel bigger) Will post pics up tomorrow, got to dark by the time i got around to thinking of taking some pics. Plans are to clean it up, update all the maintenance stuff, new exaust, fix rust, and pretty much just add some personal touches and love the shit out of it. on to the pics. 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76 Datsun 620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 1 Quote Link to comment

Chunk86
We got some snow :) been super busy at work lately so have not been able to work much on the truck (wish i had a garage). 76Datsun620 by Chunk86, on Flickr Friday i got a hold of a filter kit for my weber from screamer510 . Cleaned it up and put it on yesterday. The top has been painted a few times so ill have to strip it and repaint it later on just wanted it on there so i can drive around now. Having a bit of a problem with coldstart with the carb (I don't think the electronic choke is working right or it is not adjusted right) 76Datsun620 by Chunk86, on Flickr My new seat... needs to be cleaned and then going to cover with some Indian blankets i have laying around. Got out of a 76 620 at the north Pull and save. Also got a sliding back window out of the same truck. 76Datsun620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76Datsun620 by Chunk86, on Flickr Catphish my Queensland Heeler going to be 2yrs old on christmas. This is his first time in the truck and he found his spot right away :) and then a pick of both of us haha he wouldn't look at the camera just wanted to lick my face. 76Datsun620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76Datsun620 by Chunk86, on Flickr 76Datsun620 by Chunk86, on Flickr Next on the agenda is going to fix the rust on the floors i got a wire brush to go on my drill to take off surface rust then going to hit it with rustoleum primer and paint till later when im going to bed line the inside of the cab and the bed. Need to figure out why im not getting any heat. And just general cleaning everything looks like it used to be loved but the last few owners kind of let it go. Quote Link to comment
Chunk86
have not had time to tackle to rust on the floors yet been to wet and usually dark when i get home from work. Made a few trips to the North Pull N Save in spokane. Got some goodies for the truck like a stock wheel, a heater core and blower motor (did not end up needing them so if someone needs them let me know) stock side mirrors. Cleaned out my heater core and got all that working correctly as well as cleaning out under the cowl (what a mess). Also last week i ended up covering my new bench seat with some indian blankets (the top is secured really well but i just ended up draping the bottom one on and going to leave it free floating). mikeylikesit
From a new member, to a new member...Welcome. From what I've seen, this is a great place to meet great people with a common love for the Datsun! Quote Link to comment
w_datsun_a
Like the co-pilot and love the pin striping. The truck looks in pretty good shape. Looking forward to more progress! Quote Link to comment
Chunk86
Just fixed a fuel leak i found yesterday. it was on the rubber line between the tank and the hard line. there where two different hoses split with a connector in the middle, it was leaking from the connector. Got a 12inch 1/4 rubber fuel line from napa and an inline fuel filter. Fixed the problem right up. Going to drive it to work tomorrow to start working out some more kinks (got to drive it to find them). Thanks guy's :) Quote Link to comment
RadioRedline
Fix the oil leak problems and keep it. Nice truck good overall shape. You'll thank me later. Buy a 1990 pos for today and sell it when problems dealt with. Radio Quote Link to comment
Chunk86
im thinking about it but then i would need to get rid of this first http://spokane.craigslist.org/pts/3403101907.html so i could have the funds. if not its just going to sit there for a long time lol. so giving another datsun lover the chance to snag it, hate to see it just sit there. Chunk86
i have a 91 chevey blazer and a 01 subaru that just took a dive to haha so trying to get some cash to either fix the subabru or sell that to and find another commuter. the blazer does not get the best gas mileage. Hogger69 info on the 620? and you would have to provide transportation for the rabbit i have no way of towing it at the moment. Quote Link to comment
