Bentaxlebob
Looking for the inside diametre size for the upper hose ( rad) L20-B engine. Anyone happens to have a hose handy? Looking to install a mechanical water temp gauge. Want to keep the OEM temp gauge connected and add the water temp gauge as complementary. That way I can see when the temp is getting dangerous and visualize what it really is ( stock gauge will only tell you your engine is 5 min away from blowing up....abandon ship !) For that matter I need to install a sender adaptor that goes in the upper hose. I will post the part number and brand once I get the right adaptor for those interested. Quote Link to comment

Pretty sure they're 1.38" 35mm I'm thinking of doing the same thing Check Glowshiftdirect.com They're like 15$ and look great. Quote Link to comment
Bentaxlebob
Hi. Got the part and ready to install the gauge sensor. But before doing so,I have seen that my Thermostat Hpusing has 2 bolts on the housing. There is a 3rd aditional lower opening where the stock temp gauge sensor hooks up to. I can always use the part I bought for another car, Anyone tried to hook the temp sensor to any of these 2 bolts/openings on the thermostat housing? I have been busy but plan on taking those bolts off to see if the sensor would fit. I am concerned about the thermostat. I think at least one of those openings is for the smog device temperature selenoid sensor for the air pump system.....air injection intanifold.....all that is gone. Will try post a pic of what I am talking about. If anyone has a photo ofthe Thermostat Housing, please post it. Quote Link to comment

That is what I was looking into. I was not sure if the thermostat would be in the way. My housing has 2 ports besides the stock port ( on other side, just like yours.) Good to know. I will connect my gauge into one of the ports available in my housing,. Quote Link to comment
