Angela
I'm looking to match the front bumper overrider bar I've got for my '71 wagon. Anybody have one of these & willing to part with it to help me complete my set? Appreciate ANY leads or advice  -Angela Link to comment
Laecaon
Did they make them for wagons? Would it get in the way of the hatch? Link to comment
ggzilla
Bumper overriders were not a factory option. They came from ARMCO. WAGON with bumper overriders Link to comment
ggzilla
Unless you mean the stock overriders, but I don't think you can use them to carry the car. Link to comment
datto510
I'm pretty sure the company was Ammco. Link to comment
Ranman72
I have one on a 240z bumper not sure if it will work or the style you are looking for measures about 57 1/4 inches center of the mounting holes PM for price if this might work for you Thanks Randy Link to comment
Laecaon
Man oh man that is close. I think my quick measurement on a Wagon bumper showed 58.5-59 inches. Link to comment
Angela
Thank you ALL for the posts. Yes, I know they were not a factory option & were made by Amco. My reference pic is the same one ggzilla posted (my wagon looks just about exactly like that one). Ranman72, yours looks like what I had in mind. I'll PM you in a min. Laecaon, Do you think I could make this work? Thanks again! Angela Link to comment
ggzilla
Amco is the transmission company. Armco was the maker of car accessories. Ampco made factory electrical equipment for Datsun Link to comment
datto510
We are both wrong. The company is/was A-M-C-O Link to comment
ggzilla
ah, wrong again. I couldn't find my brochure, thanks for posting that photo AMCO it is. Link to comment
Angela
Thanks again for all your input. Wondering if anyone knows who's wagon that is that's in the reference pic? Just eyeballing my '71 & I'm wondering how the back hatch will clear the bar. Modification? Any thoughts/input would be appreciated. -Angela Link to comment
ggzilla
That wagon was for sale, shown on Bring A Trailer "It comes from a Japanese car collector" site Also see http://community.ratsun.net/topic/20557-rear-bumper/ Amco ad called them "bumper guard" Link to comment
hang_510
Do you think I could make this work? i would guess the two pieces are similar enough to bolt on. i got rid of the rear on mine because i couldn't sit in the back. still have the front. 1 Link to comment
Angela
They do look very similar...just wondering about it clearing the hatch though. Thoughts? Link to comment
Ranman72
the hatch lifts pretty fast due to the angle of the hinges measure height clearance at the center of the bumper when the hatch is opening that will give you a good idea total height on the bar I have is about 3 to 3 1/4 inches Link to comment
