What engine is this?

Okay, I was told this was out of a '97 Hardbody. Supposedly a KA24E. It's missing the computer and the wiring harness is cut at the block. I'm engine illiterate so I don't know what I'm looking at for sure. I was hoping I could eliminate the ecu and additional wire stuff and run dual carbs (with a modified manifold.) I want the engine as clean looking as possible with minimal wiring work. Going in my Datsun 620 BTW. Any help appreciated.

Sorry, the photo isn't parked anywhere so maybe this link will work:

It definitely came out of a hardbody. The vent on the back of the valve cover is a give away for that. Hard to tell what year it's out of by the picture. There are differences between the 96-97 HB and the earlier KA's but I'm not sure specifically what they are without looking into it. Other than the obd2.

The intake and throttle body are even more noticable.

Thanks guys! Any info I can get is much appreciated. Like I said, I'm engine illiterate and I was afraid I'd bought a boat anchor instead of something I could trick out for my (eventual) show truck. Seen some Mikunis for sale and they look cool.
