ggzilla
No. You can't even tell the difference from the outside between A14 pan and A15 pan. But after you (slightly/carefully) beat the B210 pan it will fit. Closely look at your A15 pan -- just below the mounting flange -- to see the difference. Quote Link to comment
king bee66
also, Youll have to use the b210 motor mounts Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
yes, if you put a newer A14 in a B210, you need to use the B210 mounts & B210 oil pan. The top radiator hose & thermostat housings are different too, but sometimes they will fit depending on how long the hose is. Quote Link to comment
Vega
so with the a15 i use the same b210 mounts right? sorry for my ignorant nature Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, use some parts from the B210 when fitting a newer A14/A15 into a B210. Quote Link to comment
king bee66
If i were you id swap the head and manifolds too, because the a15s usually have smaller intake ports. Keep in mind if you do this youll also have to block a water port that wold feed into the a15 intake manifold. I Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
a15s usually have smaller intake ports Not really true. It's about as true as A14 with small intake ports, which many do. 1979 A15 has B210-style (dry) oval port head 1980 A15 has new style (wet) oval port head 1981-1982 USA has medium-size oval port head (just like A14 for the same years) Canadian A15s all have oval port heads as i understand B210 A14 has small round-port heads if they come from a 5-speed car. Ditto for some B310 A14 & A15. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Also, i see some people with spoilers under the front bnumper, what are people using to fab these? as i assumed these are fabbed? If you're talking about this style spoiler: Those are not custom fabbed, they are available new here: http://classicdatsun.com/new/1200_Parts.html It's listed as a 1200 spoiler, but it fits a B210 better than it fits a 1200. :P Quote Link to comment

Vega
anyone tried those rivet on fender flairs, they look very nice! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
You mean exposed rivets? Or just overfender flares in general? Some guys fit 240Z flares to their B210s. Overfender Yotoya TE27 flares on Datsun Quote Link to comment
Vega
Question here: What is the bolt pattern for the wheels on this car? Can i succesfully get 16"x8 on this car? At least 16x8 rear and 16x7 front?? Maybe? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The bolt pattern is 4-on-4.5" (converted to metric it is 114.3 PCD) Maybe on the wheel size -- if the offset is exactly right. Random 8" wide wheels won't fit. Quote Link to comment

Vega
OR, will these fit? i guess im concerned about the rubbing and clearance. \ http://www.ebay.com/itm/XXR-002-Style-15x8-25-4x100-4x114-3-Green-with-Machined-Lip-Limited-edition-/221146703169?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337d5ee541&vxp=mtr I prefer these Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Opinions? Oh, please not multilug wheels! You can order new wheels with the proper 4.5 lug spacing (custom order). I doubt if 8" wide +25 offset will fit, but you can always use wheel spacers to clear the leaf springs. And roll the fender to prevent cutting the tire. Quote Link to comment
Kramer1981
I like the green...but I have painted the wheels on quite a few of my cars this same green... Quote Link to comment
Vega
what type of offset should i be looking for with a 15x7? Quote Link to comment
Vega
I'm thinking these look perfect. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROTA-WHEEL-RB-15X7-4X114-3-12-RGUNMETAL-BIG-CAPS-DATSUN-ROADSTER-/300806591748?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4609785504&vxp=mtr Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Offset is unrelated to diameter. Stock B210 wheel offset is +30 which centers the wheel within the wheelwell. So +30 is very good unless the wheel is so wide it hits the spring. Then you have to lessen the offset but that pushes the wheel outside and out of the fender (fender flares may be needed). I haven't measured a B210, but for 7" wide wheel on B110 a +10 to +15 works. So that will probably work on B210 also. You can measure your wheelwell to make sure. A 7" wide wheel is about 8" wide. Tires are normally wider than the wheel unless you fit narrower tires than the wheel is designed for. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
OR, will these fit? i guess im concerned about the rubbing and clearance. \ http://www.ebay.com/...d5ee541&vxp=mtr I prefer these An 8" wide +20 wheel is going to rub the leaf springs in the back. I fit up a 15x8 +0 and it was only 3mm off rubbing the leaf spring. If you have B210 front struts, a +20 should work up there, but you'll need something closer to +0 to fit in the rear. And you'll need to stretch a 195/50-15 on it and roll the front and rear fender lips. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
what type of offset should i be looking for with a 15x7? +0 to +10 in the rear, +10 to +20 up front. Swapping in 280ZX struts will allow you to run a +0 all around. 15x8 +0 with 280ZX front struts: Quote Link to comment
Kramer1981
I know its coming...grab a broomhandle or Louisville slugger, wedge between inner fender lip and tire, and have a buddy SLOWLY roll the car forward and back. Start with a little roll and keep going until youre happy. You may end up having to make a cut about every two inches or so because as the lip rolls in, it will need to stretch and expand. Cuts will be closer together in tighter areas of radius. And obviously further apart as the radius straightens some. Dont rush this or you will have a goofy lookin car until you get your new flares in the mail. Quote Link to comment
