dirtyydatsun
Does anyone know if a H22A V-tec would be a nice swap for a 510?? let me know, thatnks Quote Link to comment
Draker
So you want to put a front wheel drive Honda engine into a rear wheel drive Datto.. I'm just going to say (without crushing my keyboard).. there so many other swaps that would be better. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
If you really want to do a swap like that, I would recommend swapping the chassis with someone who wont do the that. Quote Link to comment
INDY510
. FWD Honda motors spin backwards ...... .. That would be cool to have 5 reverse gears with VTAK . Quote Link to comment
Stupid_fast
Use F20c/F22c 6spd RWD from S2000... I believe it still spins backwards like indy was saying. F20c has higher redline (8800rpm), more peak power(240hp/153ft-lb) F22c has more torque(237hp/163ft-lb) and lower redline(8000rpm) Some honda guys have adapted K24 engines to the S2000 ... those have better flowing heads for even more power (300+hp) Quote Link to comment
TFM1066
Yep, all hondas spin the wrong way, you would have only one forward gear Quote Link to comment
wagoon
H22 fwd don't even waste your time and money. Easy modifiable motor is the B series because of the abundance of aftermarket parts available. K series is even better because of the potential for even more power. The K series is the new B series. Even though, these are still fwd, they should stay that way and not to be put in a rwd sexy dime. F20c/F22c only if you want to put a Honda motor in. Quote Link to comment
dirtyydatsun
just a damn consideration. ive seen it before. take it easy Quote Link to comment
DaBlist
Yep, all hondas spin the wrong way, you would have only one forward gear Is the S2000 pinion on the other side of the ring gear? There are too many S2000 donor swaps, that one must spin the right way. Quote Link to comment
charlie mac
hay bud ,......don't fret i done some fitting had one collecting dust....besides the reverse spin thing....the cooling system is the other issue you'll run it to the Honda motors like to run cool, something to do with all the secondary passage ways in the motors , but i had some flow issues............ outside of a additional electronic pump , no easy or cheap solution ..... hay it was a good idea Quote Link to comment
yankabilly
i'm a honda guy and jxx v6 honda motor come in 300hp range and spins the right way and the k are the same way but b and h spin the wrong way Quote Link to comment
