Don't know if anyone cares but Lakers or the Celtics?

I'm going to have to say Lakers

I want the Celtics but i think the Lakers are going to win

LAKERS, This will be a great final, Just like the old days, when I was a kid. Been a life long laker fan. My dad never missed a game. And my wife is more of a fan than I am.

GO LAKERS

You can tell me that I'm full of BS, but here is my two cents.

My brother has been betting on NFL and NBA games for about fifteen years. He wrote a software program to track the games by win/loss, against the spread and every other kind of thing. He has logged all these games for all these years. Over the long haul he has won a ton of money. After about five years he started to notice trends that basically told him to bet against the bettors and for the most part it has paid off.

He is banned from the sports books in Reno and Tahoe. He has been escorted out of soprts books in Vegas. He and his friends used to give me a grand and a plane ticket to Reno, Carson City or North Shore to take a brief case with twenty large in cash to lay off bets for play off games or superbowls. I would lay the bets and go back to the airport. I won't do it any more, because I was getting followed by casino security and some spooky stuff happened. My brother and his friend had a guy they work with go to Vegas for the Superbowl and they cleaned up.

My brother says that his system should work most of the time, but it took him ten years to figure out that some of the games are fixed. He has been saying this for a long time. He says you don't really know how this stuff is going to work out until the betting lines become clear, that is doesn't have anything to do with how good a team is, but how the sports books can fleece the public.

He has been telling me for years that the only reason they have Monday night football is to fleece people. Guys loose all their money during the weekend games and the Monday night game looks like a no-brainer so these suckers put down big bets tryng to recapture their weekend losses... Whoops, they loose because Monday night games are always fixed.

I must be crazy right? It ain't my trip. I don't give a rat's ass about stick and ball games. Does nothing for me. I'm into racing. All I know is, that my brother owns a condo and beach house that he just remodeled, all his cars, trucks and motorcycles are paid for like the houses, and he hasn't had a job for three years.

it takes $$ to win $$

for two more cents... dont you think that anything that can be bet against will have $$$ thrown towards one side or the other to influence the outcome?

ive heard some 'spooky' tales from vegas/reno/tahoe during their(mob) peak influence.

NEW YORK -- Tim Donaghy started making NBA bets four years ago, and he didn't hesitate to wager on games he worked.

Speaking in code during telephone calls, he tipped off high-stakes gamblers with inside information and recommended which teams to bet on. When his picks hit, he was paid $5,000.

The stunning allegations emerged Wednesday as the disgraced former NBA referee pleaded guilty to two felony charges in a scandal that rocked the league and tarnished the integrity of the sport.

"By having this nonpublic information, I was in a unique position to predict the outcome of NBA games," Donaghy, standing ramrod-straight with his hands clasped in front of him, told the judge in a Brooklyn courtroom.

Donaghy, who was released on $250,000 bond, faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 9 for conspiracy to engage in wire fraud and transmitting betting information through interstate commerce. He also must pay a $500,000 fine and at least $30,000 in restitution to the government.

Commissioner David Stern said the NBA would "continue with our ongoing and thorough review of the league's officiating program to ensure that the best possible policies and procedures are in place to protect the integrity of our game."

Defense attorney John Lauro told The Associated Press that Donaghy was "relieved this part of the proceeding is over and we look forward to completely resolving this matter in the coming months."

Games in Indictment

Two specific dates are mentioned in the indictment as days when Tim Donaghy called his co-conspirators with information on "who to bet on."

One is Dec. 13. That night, Donaghy officiated a Boston-Philadelphia game in Philadelphia. The second is Dec. 26. That night, Donaghy worked a Memphis-Washington game in Washington D.C.

In the Dec. 13 game, Boston was a 3

First quarter was already looking bad for the Celtics.

Second half, I gave up

I just missed the biggest upset on playoff finals.:mad:

Should have kept on watching

It's time to crown the champions

And give Kobe more shots of tequila or whatever he prefers to drink.

24 point come back, biggest in NBA Finals History....The Poll Question that was asked on DP today was ...Was this a Lakers collapse or a Celtic Comeback??

Kobe may be MVP this season and wants to be compared to Jordan, but there is no way Jordan, Magic, or Bird would have let that happen.
