l18 pistons in l20b

Recommended Posts

ok so i know this was discussed on here before but i am getting conflicting info from different people

here is what is going on.

My l20 has to be bored and i need new pistons so in stead of putting over sized l20 pistons with a 11.36 cc dish i was wondering if i can putt over sized l18 pistons with a 4.36 dish to raise my cr. the bore and pin height are the same SO it should work or am i missing something?

thanks

mikey:)

Will work just fine.

You didn't say if you have the open or closed chamber head so I worked out both compressions for a 1mm overbore:

Open....... 9.44

Closed... 10.08

I WISH I HAD A Z18

I think this Z18 manifold was modified to fit a KA24, not sure...

We have a local JDM importer in town and I tried to get the manifold but no luck. They could probably get the whole motor....
