josh817
I mounted mine under the passenger side seat, on the outside/underside of the car, on the tranny side of the chassis rail. Have a rubber hose and a filter before the pump going right to the fuel line as it goes through the crossmember/chasis. Really easy to access and remove/replace if needed. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Mine was mounted on the battery shelf bracket thing. Not immediately visibile, but you could see if you looked down past thebattery. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
External electric pumps should be located as low and as close to the tank as possible. Pumps can produce almost unlimited pressure but no pump made can suck water vertically more than about 30 feet. Quote Link to comment

Thanks for the feedback,so do you think outside the frame rail by the fuel tank is a bad idea. Quote Link to comment
datsunrides
That would seem to be a good spot. It is somewhat "exposed", so a oil pressure cutoff switch would be a good safety feature. No oil presure, no fuel pumping. Mark Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's fine. I would prefer to put on the inside of the frame just for protection. Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
Thanks for the input other then it being I guess pretty to look at your right the inside would be the ideal place,I guess are start lining it up. Quote Link to comment
zed
my spare electric fuel pump came with instructions saying it must be mounted 'within 12 vertical inches' of the fuel tank. Quote Link to comment
