damageinc86
I know nothing about models and such, but is there such a thing? Quote Link to comment
Gensaiken
I heard in the US there was a "SSS" package which basicly meant nothing other than you got a little cheesy "SSS" badge some where. Its only what i've heard don't know if its 100% true or not but I heard that some wagons would get the badge as well but it didn't really mean anything. But there was no offical SSS wagon tho. damageinc86
The reason why i'm wondering is this dude just posted this on craigslist. says it's an SSS. The kicker is it's the same car that sold on here about 6 months ago for 500 bucks. what a tool trying to turn it for $3,000 http://portland.craigslist.org/yam/car/668710262.html Quote Link to comment
Gensaiken
Definately not worth 3k. Wagons are rarely worth the 3k. If it was a very clean 2dr it'd be a decent price depending on how everything checked out. I say that wagon is worth 2k or so. The reason he likely says SSS is the possiblity that it was a 219 head which would be the SSS head from japan only. Very rare head that sells for 600+ on its own. When I got my 510 the owner said something about SSS this and SSS that. I didn't believe any of it till some one looked it over and said well you do have a SSS head and SU's. The 5speed wasn't SSS but it was pretty rare these days to see roadster 5speed in a 510. So it wasn't all SSS like the guy said but it did have some rare bits on it. So I say this guy COULD have a SSS head with SU's on it but it could also be nothing special. Some one could have fed him a story about it being SSS. Quote Link to comment

Also all I've seen had vinyl tops too. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
The craigslist ad seems pretty clear on what is SSS. Quote Link to comment
damageinc86
I think the guy is full of shit personally. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
I think the guy is full of shit personally.By price maybe, but I don't think he's really claiming the car is "SSS," just engine/engine parts...big deal. *shrug* Just move on, it's not a good price to begin with. Quote Link to comment
damageinc86
yeah it's not a huge deal I was just wondering, the title says SSS to draw people in and i think that's shitty to do anyways. it's a pile, 500 at the most, which is what he bought it for. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
True...same with ebay auctions where they throw extra crap in the titles. I saw an 85'ish maxima dead grandma car with 112k miles last week for $700 and then the next day it was $1300 :P I should have bought it just for a cheap ride :D Quote Link to comment
hang_510
could NEVER be a SSS, as its not a sedan, it would be a SSE (super sport estate) :fu: Quote Link to comment
