roadster valve cover on J13 engine???

I am curious if a roadster finned valve cover will fit on a J seriers motor??

It will not. The U20 roadster engine is too big, and the R16 roadster engine is different. But perhaps the G15 roadster engine will.

Hmm, what about a roadster cover on an A series? Obviously with modifications to the bolt pattern.

Unfortunately.

 

Austin cover will fit Datsun A-series head if you weld up new bolt bosses. So that might work with J-series which is closer to Austin B-series engine.

Let me know if you need a J13 valve cover. I have an extra one that has rust holes. (My body shop offered to lead in the holes, but I used an extra I have on the shelf.)
