atkinson40
I removed the head to have the ex/in surfaces resurfaced. Upon reinstallation I replaced the head gasket and torqed the head bolts twice p\er spec., but still see this leak. WTF. I had the head reworked and they resurfaced the head/engine surface. The head gasket seemed a bit flimsy. Any Ideas? -Kevin Quote Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
Look at all the hose connections in that area while the engine is running. I thought I had a head gasket leak till I saw a hose 6" away with a pin hole spraying right at the head. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Fuel pump gasket, there's 2 plus a plastic spacer that's easy to crack. Also on the pump body there is a hinge pin that can leak. Quote Link to comment
atkinson40
I found I forgot the 10MM bolt that goes up in the front that holds the head to the timming chain cover. I put one in. Fingers crossed. hoping that was it. -Kevin Quote Link to comment
DanielC
"I found I forgot the 10MM bolt that goes up in the front that holds the head to the timming chain cover." You are talking about the bolt with the 10 MM head? There are two of these bolts. one on each side of the front of the cylinder head. Quote Link to comment
