Not enough deflection to worry about. I have the same setup on the L motor in my 510, or rather the one that's out of the 510. But that holed a piston, didn't dink a pulley. ;)

yeah, a lot of Dat peeps are telling me not to worry about it but the idea came to mind that for each turn of the balance the water pump should turn x number of times, thats what had me worried. and at dat night i saw the one i needed. it was noticeably smaller. meaning obviously that for every one turn of the balance the fan wheel was turning 1._____ something more. I know, I know, small potatoes and I'm over thinking it. i found out from nissan today that the one that bolts right up is a Z22 fan only, no clutch pulley. they want 80 bucks. uh, no thank you. I'll check the yards again and search online. its about 1/2 smaller in total diameter. thanks for the comments though.

yeah, that's what i am trying to avoid, less water moving. I actually found them on eBay, about 25 bucks. there's even a billet one for Z for 70 bucks that would fit. too much bling for me though.

Polished + datsun doesn't add up hahaha.

The smaller pulley are clutch fans and are limited to 2,500 RPMs no matter how high the motor revs. The bigger pulley is for direct fan coupling and will be slower.

found out another quick tidbit, the smaller one (the one i want due to uncomfortable clearance) is 4 1/2 diameter. the one i have is like 5. small change but a change in the right direction.
