The instrument end of the cable isn't a nut exactly. It's a round knob with tiny grooves cut into it for gripping by hand. Undo your cluster and pull towards you and reach in behind or up from underneath and unscrew it and pull it off. Reverse to put it on.

there are 2 screws UNDER the dash right by the colum that are holding it in. i found that out the HARD way. broke the cluster bezel. also i had to use plyers to get my speedo cable off. not fun when you have almost no room.

well i got it all out today and drove around without a dash, lol. i think imma sell the cluster and everything and fab up a new cluster surround, if they come out good and are easy enough to make, i'll send you one mopar. send me like 10 bucks to lmpa02@yahoo.com for the headlight switch and the wiper switch, and the little can thing there attached to. i have the OEM cig. lighter too if you want that, 3 bucks extra? lol
