Leach Posted January 31, 2012 Report Share Posted January 31, 2012 all three lights are dull,and outside right regular when I turn on low beams. Then The left are dull but right both bright when on high beam. I have a bluebird sedan so it has some differences in relays and controls. Can some one help me get it to were both sides are lighting up the same again Quote Link to comment

DanielC Posted January 31, 2012 Report Share Posted January 31, 2012 Datsun 510 cars and goons have separate fuses for the headlight on the right and left side of the car. The power is applied to the common terminal on each headlight, and is always on, or hot. There is a relay, that switches from high beam to low beam, and the relay is then grounded by the headlight switch. I think these are the wire colors. Red, and red with blue stripe, from fuse box to common on the headlights. Two separate wires one to each side of the car. Low beam to headlight relay, Red with black stripe. High beam to headlight relay, Red with white stripe. Headlight relay to headlight switch, red with yellow stripe. Headlight switch to ground, black Quote Link to comment
Leach Posted February 1, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 found the problem. i put fuses in that i thought were the same both 8amp but one was 30 the other 8. switched both to 20amp and now they work perfect so off to the store to buy the right 10amp fuses. Quote Link to comment
