Stupid_fast
With shortened 510 struts/ MR-2 rear illumina shocks highest height has no wheel gap, FYI. I run the stiffness at the 1st or 2nd setting. Plenty stiff for roads around here! Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
koni reds D 280zx size these are rebound adjustable but need a spacer washer for T3 coil overs. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Best for what? for comfort? for road racing? for drag racing? for rallycross? A different shock is need for different purposes. For comfort, the stock Nissan shock insert is by far the best, much better than Illumina or Koni. Quote Link to comment

yellowdatsun
The springs play a much bigger role than the shock. I have stiff springs, and stock-replacement-type shocks have always worked just fine. From what I've seen, the fancy expensive adjustable ones are a waste of money unless you're actually racing and need that half second per lap advantage. I've ran the 280zx and 200sx inserts in my front struts for like 15 years and never had a complaint. Quote Link to comment
