hang_510
this is what i have on it but it was in a wreck in the privious wagon, and all the seals are blown on the ball joints and tie rods thats not a 69 Xmember. the knuckles are either 14mm(after 69) or 11mm (hard to find the 11mm balljoints) Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Any time you replace suspension component, wheel alignment should be done. Especially tie rods, since they are adjustable. Yeah, just do toe-in, but first you need to center the steering gearbox and steering wheel. Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
So the arm that comes off the steering gearbox needs to be straight with the steering wheel/column rod than do the adjustments..? Lol noob move so i had the steering wheel straight than did the adjusments, than when i was driving the sterring wheel was actuly turning right while i was going stright but would slighty pull to the left. :| Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
A wheel alignment is tricky business. Was the steering wheel ever in the straight ahead position? * If yes, just adjust the toe-in on the one side you changed. * If no, turn it lock to lock and find the center position. If the steering wheel isn't straight, you may need to remove it and put it on straight. Then correct for any tires that aren't pointing straight head and adjust the toe-in. By the way, i went to Alhambra High. How's the weather down there? I got so cold standing in the rain working on my Datsun today I finally gave up. I'm thinking of driving down to the Bay Area so I can dry out, but got to get it running better first. Quote Link to comment

Shagy
so is there anyway to not get the 555 stuff.... do we want the 555 stuff? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
555 is Datsun OEM. Japanese company. Why would you not want it? All the new cars come with made-in-china parts. Quote Link to comment
Shagy
That's what I want to know....I didn't know if the 555 was good or bad. So I can assume the $198 price tag is okay? I have never seen the center link available though..... Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
Be careful tho cause i only go one tierod for each side and theres no way i have found to contact them about the other two pieces... Quote Link to comment
