zenndog
Will Cranks from a L16, L18 fit in a L20b Block? Never mind rod length, which I assume is different. Do all the L series engines share main bearing sizes and Bore spacing? Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
According to my info and the fact that the main bearing shell part numbers are different, no. The main bearing journals on the L20B are larger. I believe the difference is 55mm for the 5-bolt flange crank engines (L13, L14, L16, L18) and 60mm for the 6-bolt flange L20B Quote Link to comment
DanielC
No. Bearing sizes are different. There are 6 bolt L-16, and L-18 crankshafts around, but they are pretty rare. They are fully counterweighted, and are in the true JDM SSS engines. They are not in the USA SSS cars, that was basically a grill badge. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Cylinder spacing is the same for the L,Z and KA (maybe others) Rod bearings are the same for all three. 5 bolt L16/18 cranks are 55mm main bearings L20B and Z series are 60mm main bearings KA are the same diameter main bearings but different width.
