revolt510
I'm a newbie to Datsuns. My 510 has discs on the front and I'm guessing the struts and brakes are from a 240z. I've attached a couple pics - can anyone confirm this? thanks, Ryan Quote Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
the look like stock 510 stuff to me. 240z will not work on a 510. 280zx struts and brakes is a common swap but yours is NOT 280zx. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
If that says 54303-H5050, those are from a B210. If that says 54303-N5050, I dunno Quote Link to comment
littlejason
If that says 54303-H5050, those are from a B210. For what it's worth, (pretty much nothin') that was my first thought. Quote Link to comment
Guest 510kamikazifreak
Look like HL 510 struts/brakes Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Wrong part number but the brakes do look right also the 200sx brakes are similar. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
looks identical to my B310/210 brakes. Quote Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
Either way they are stock non vented brakes, nothin special. If they work, great! if they don't, you can upgrade! Quote Link to comment
INDY510
. Deffinately NOT stock PL510 ... and they're NOT 280ZX ....... .. either late model 710, 200sx, or B310... .. or another 10 series car from the late 70's / early 80's Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
N50 is probably either late 610 or early 710. Because my parts catalog lists N codes, just not N50. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
All 610 and 710 strut tubes begin with U. The 200sx struts are # 54302 N5025 .... close? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
54302 is RH strut 54303 is LH strut Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yes. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
1971 510 rotors are 232 mm, same as 1974 B210. 1977 200SX rotors are 245 mm You can measure the diameter of yours to double-check. 510 pads are type D37 200SX are type D117 same as 610, B210 and B310 Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Again, that caliper is not stock 510. Nor is that the stock 510 hub. The pads look like the D117 that ggzilla posted. Its pretty clear in the picture that rods go through the pads, and they have the "curved" top resembling the shape of the D117. Quote Link to comment
revolt510
cool, thanks for all the feed back. They didn't match what is shown in Haynes, so I figured they weren't stock. thanks for the help. Ryan Quote Link to comment
