cartunez71
I'm having a different problem, sorry to go off subject from your topic but I have a matchbox dizzy and I'm burning through coils I had a MSD blaster 2 coil and it lasted about a week and went out I bought another one and it drove down the street and died, so I took my dad's old point coil and plugged it in and it fired up so I know it was the coil that went out that lasted enough to get me home and it died again so any suggestions? DanielC
Get a stock Datsun matchbox coil. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yup. They are cheap, reliable and they WORK. After market stuff is a billion dollar industry that exploits those who think the factory didn't do their homework when engineering their cars. People think that by spending a few hundred dollars on an ignition system that it's got to be better and will unleash hidden horse power. Sadly any increase in performance is from your lighter wallet. The money you save, buy a can of paint and spray the stock coil red. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
All Datsuns 1978-up use the same coil (except for twin plug engines). It will be printed on the coil "H7280" or "H7285". Quote Link to comment
