motavated
When i took the pump discharge nozzle. I flip the weber over to catch the parts. And a small bearing came with it. but none of the catalogs show that a bearing goes inside. any ideas? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Hitachi's have two of them in the accelerator pump system. They act as one way valves. Quote Link to comment
motavated
http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,0/page,viewtopic/t,310369/view,next/sid,fa8326bbea02c44704686447b8b79550/ From a BMW site Has anyone out there ever drilled out the lead plugs out of a 32/36 weber to get to the ball bearing in the accelerator pump? Mine appears to be stuck and I don't hear/feel it move around when I shake the carb. Also, where can I get the replacement lead plugs after I drill them out, I've checked weber websites and it doesn't seem like it's included in the rebuild kits. Thanks. :/ Quote Link to comment
motavated
I am so confused. well fuck it. I will run it where i think it came from. I will also ask a company I bought my old carb from if they know... Quote Link to comment
yello620
Interesting, i have never seen a bearing in a weber, and never heard one rolling or rattling around inside either. Please share anything you learn about this. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Roller bearing? Or ball bearing? The ball is for the accelerator pump. It is just a small BB, not an actual bearing assembly. Quote Link to comment
racerx
have you tried calling weber direct... Quote Link to comment
motavated
I just placed it back on where I hope it came from and ran it. Runs better than my old one. FUCK IT! Quote Link to comment
Chris#51EPGraham
Ball check valve is what you'd call it. It probably is a standard size bearing ball. Individual bearing balls in many common sizes are usually available at better bicycle shops. This can be handy to know if you lose one (as long as you know the correct ball size). racerx
Is this the one on the needle valve seat? Quote Link to comment
