datzenmike
The transmission has absolutely nothing to do with the clutch used. The clutch size you need is determined by the flywheel that you have on your L16. The L16s used in cars or trucks used a 200mm clutch and pressure plate. To confirm, just measure the diameter of the clutch disc or the shiny contact area on the flywheel. 200mm would be 7.88 inches. Just order a clutch for what ever your L16 is in... you don't say but probably a 521, 510 or 620. If you want an extra grip pressure plate order the 200mm one for the Roadster. What 5 speed do you have? Well if you have a 510 the easiest most common 5 speed swap is the dogleg from the 200sx.. If the shift pattern is reverse above first then this is what you have... Laecaon
Why does my shifter feel sloppy and loose?? How can I fix this problem?? Bushings where the pin holds the shifter on are missing/wornout. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
There are plastic bushings that fit the cross pin in the shifter and when new are snug, but when they get old and worn become sloppy, or break. I got these door hinge bushings in a kit about $7 but... They were too tight in the shifter and too loose on the pin so I... Made a cut with a hacksaw and bingo. You may have to file the shoulders slightly to fit them in between the 'ears' on the tranny. Or try the Nissan dealer and ask for # 32855 H1010 Control lever bushing... about $3-$5 a set. These will fit the FS5W63A dogleg and the FS5W71B 5speeds, you didn't say. . Quote Link to comment
