WTB 210/B310 Driver seat belt URGENT

Recommended Posts

Ok, so my friend just got pulled over tonight, her seat belt is loose as in doesnt retract. Got a fix it ticket. Looking for a new driver seat belt. Preferably in blue, but color doesnt really matter as long as the ticket goes away :)

My friend promised me a bottle of gin if I find it. Yes finder fees!!!

Also I might as well also say that I am looking for a tranny for a 210. 4 speed as they are cheaper.

shoot me a PM!

This is the car:

Ok ,,, that sucks !

Same thing happened to me on my Z-car ,,, drivers side would not retract !!!

un-bolt whole assembly ,,, (retractor/spring/coupler) ,,,

once un-bolted ,,, spray with some lubricant ( like silicone so it doesn't get on the seat-belt ,,, I used PB Blaster as it was what I had at the time ,,, and my seatbelt still smells a little like it ! )

I bet you the retractor is bone dry and just needs a little lube ,,,

Mine has worked just fine since I lubed it six months ago :)

B210 in the Boring yard....not sure what trans.....It has black seat belts.

Was that the only ticket given or was this an extra....Like speeding was the main reason to pull over or was this what got the cops attention?

My 510 don't retract on the shoulder......pull to desired tightness..:P

This is not for a 510, I know those dont have retracting belts (wait mine does!!!). This is for a 1979 Datsun 210 hatch.

She only got a ticket for the belt. Nothing else was given.

DTP I will try what you said when I get a chance.

I have a good 4-speed trans for a 210 up in the Seattle area- $100

What is in her car now? 4 or 5-speed?

Bill

4 speed. Might try to look for something a bit closer.

B210 seat belts have external retractors.

B310 have internal, fits into the side pillar.

That is good information, I was wondering if they were different.
