wayno
Are the exhaust ports square or round? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
W53 is the applied model code for the PA10, PA10A Sedan with L16 and Deluxe trim. A10 is the 1977-1981 Violet/Stanza/510. So it is a late L16 head, but was probably used on many different models (not just the A10). Quote Link to comment
bustedknuckles
im unsure if the ports are square or round the motor came out of a 79 620 kc and has emissions crap on it so it has been a slow process pulling it all apart Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
W55 is PA10HE, PA10HAE Sedan L16E GL-EL This is better than W53, as the L16E was a performance engine. It's odd that it would be on an L20B engine. I'm thinking it's an EFI head with round intake ports with notches in them for injectors. Can you confirm? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
A W-53 could actually be a W-58 which was used on the '79 truck. An 8 could easily be mistaken for a 3. Quote Link to comment
HRH
Yep, I'd say W58 too. In which case it's not that desirable but still would flow well enough. Don't pull the liners out though, (should have steel liners) it ends up making the ports/runners too big and won't flow unless you have 14:1 or better. Quote Link to comment
bustedknuckles
it says w55 not a 3 or an 8 i will post some pictures tomorrow Quote Link to comment
