521chowda
So ive had a gnarly exhaust leak ever since i got my 521. I was brainstorming with a buddy of mine for temporary exhaust leak fixes. We had welded it up before and it just came back so we figured if we got some 1/16 thick flashing and some header wrap we could silence it for a little while until the KA swap. Anyone else have any ideas for a temp fix? Ear plugs are always an option... Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
louder stereo? the flashing and header wrap idea sounds like it should work Quote Link to comment
justin 620
Duct tape, lots of it, that shit melts to the exhaust and forms a pretty strong leak fix. Quote Link to comment
yello620
Soup can and hose clamps. But you better call Disney Land and let them know where Mickey Mouse is when you are done. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Depends on where it is leaking. * At the header flange -- use two gaskets or high-temp RTV sealer * At the exhaust pipe flange -- get a fiber gasket from NAPA * At a crack in the cast iron -- weld it Quote Link to comment
