circa.13
Just pulled the valve cover off so I can replace the gasket and was surprised how clean it looks under the VC. Im not sure if I can figure out if thats an aftermarket cam or not...I see no markings anywhere. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Quote Link to comment

Dime Dave
Question (or 2) of the day. "Why does your car have a dead pedal for the right foot?" or "Does anyone know where grandma's screen door spring went?" Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
get a photo of the fire wall and spring set up. We cant see it . alot of us cant rememeber the stock set up as we all went to sidedrafts but should be a plate to clip the spring to and hook up to the linkage on firewall.where those straight arms with the balls on the end.meaning stock rod linkage spring is too long and tacky looking Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
Cody has a 32/36 Weber and his spring runs off the carb lever to a clip mounted on the intake manifold stud. The Factory parts manual doesn't show it in detail, but the stock spring runs off an arm that is attached to the fire wall to carb portion of the throttle linkage. The other end of the spring hooks to a tab that is welded to the firewall. Most parts stores sell a "Help" package with an assorted return springs. They can be cut to length and used to replace grandma's screen door spring that you now have on the car. Factory Parts Manual (Accelerator Page) FSM Accelerator Schematic Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
Here you go, these are SU's but the return spring (near the firewall) attaches the same on the factory 2 barrel. Quote Link to comment
