datzenmike Posted June 8, 2011 Report Share Posted June 8, 2011 Double clutch. When down shifting place in the neutral gate, let out clutch and rev the motor, quickly depress the clutch and pull lever into 2nd. Revving the motor with the clutch out in neutral will spin the gears and more closely match their speeds for the down shift. Takes some practice but you are essentially doing the job of the worn synchros. 1 Quote Link to comment
