Icehouse
I don't know how many "long" headers they made but me and Frank had one on an L20 and that bitch was hitting the floor big time. You should try it anyways but that is the problem we ran into. I would leave the head alone, the time and money to swap heads won't be worth the HP gain. If you want it to be faster put louder exhaust on, that always makes them feel faster :) Quote Link to comment
djlotus
You guys are the reason I come here more often than I go to the realm. Thanks for the help and input! I borrowed a stand and will be getting a hoist tomorrow, and if things work out, a test fit should be about Thursday! Quote Link to comment
djlotus
So the engine is now on a hoist, not on the stand yet, gotta get the flywheel off. Question: How does one go about finding out the capacity of an oil pan? Also, I learned that engine (supposedly) has head work and a cam. Quote Link to comment
ssfwgn
Also, I learned that engine (supposedly) has head work and a cam. Check the ports, see if there polished or modified in some way. Usually people remove the brass valve seats and replace them with steel seats when they do head work. If it has a aftermarket cam it might have markings on the back side. Quote Link to comment
