Farmer Joe Posted May 16, 2011 Report Share Posted May 16, 2011 i used to have a chevy luv... it was a 77... i built a hybrid motor for it. had a 2.0 bottom end with the 1.8 head.. ran really good.. sold it, but its still running around.. my buddy has also had like 3 luvs... 2 had v8s, and the last we did an isuzu turbo diesel swap.. thats one still running around here too. it was bagged and could still haul 2 almost 2 cords of wood in the bed. heres the turbo diesel.. it was mostly just an experiment that just kept working great.. with the turbo it got 38mpg on red diesel... fun truck.. then there was the v8 trucks.... the 1st we built the 2nd (lol better) and then my other buddys 81 with a 327... and then finally my own old truck and how it progressed... that sall the pics i could find on my PB account... man i used to be into luvs so much, i was a moderator on luvtruck.com... lol think i still am to this day... check out luvtruck.com. its like the ratsun of luv trucks...
