75' 620 front disc brake conver. issues with fluid pressure

I thought there was a write up or, at least, more info on the m/c mounting. It was fairly common knowledge a couple of years ago, but I can't seem to find a write up on here.

You need to open the firewall hole up about an 1/8" and elongate the mounting holes on the m/c with a file. You will also need to fab a new push rod since the style changes.

Mike, he is working with a 620 and a power booster, a 521.

Someone correct me if I am wrong...

But between Z's...some came 4 wheel disc, and some front disc/rear drum.

Now, if you put a 4 wheel disc MC on a disc/drum vehicle...

considering drums require way less pressure to accuate...and 4 wheel disc mc would be applying too much pressure to rear.

Whether that is the problem or not...

Just thinking common thoughts, sounds like pushrod is not set properly.

Brakes sure can be tricky.

They are so easy to maintain/fix.

But oh so easy to have something go awry.

hmmm I wonder if a M/C and booster from a D21 would correct the problem, to me it makes sense since you are useing D21 calipers

I have a MC and booster from a D21, it's a lot bigger. I'm sure there would be a way to make it fit some how (big hammer included). It would be tricky finding space around the intake manifold / steering column / clutch cylinder.

It's my last resort back up plan.

There is zero benefit switching to D21 MC or booster.

Work with what you got, and get that figured out/fixed, before you go throwing more muckery into the equation.
