andrewhans Posted March 12, 2011 Report Share Posted March 12, 2011 Yeah that was my biggest mistake was opening up the motor. I kind of had to though it ate a rod bearing and cracked the ringlands on Cyl 3, these motors love to do that when you beat 'em. Quote Link to comment

d510addict Posted March 24, 2011 Report Share Posted March 24, 2011 I had a 87 gl-10 turbo power everything push button 4wd had close to 200k on it when "I blew a head gasket" had the motor out heads in the shop getting resurfaced and 4 un-repairable cracked heads later I have a 521.
