L16 oil pump gear

I need the worm gear that presses on the crank...mine started splitting when i was pulling it off. Didn't notice the crank had some irregularities on the tip that increased it's diameter. Looks like the crank pulley spun at one time. Mine's still in one piece...wonder if it's useable? End of crank now filed/dressed down.

I believe there are two different gears that Datsun uses. You need the distributer, and the crankshaft gears as a set.

He only needs the crank worm gear that driver the oil pump/distributor spindle. They should interchange I would think. All L4 and 6 cylinder including the LD28 diesel and all Z series engines use the same worm gear to drive the oil pump.

Sorry, yeah long way off...I'm in Texas. I'll update my profile and get with the program. Thanks, SSS..I'm gonna check an old block I left in a barn 30 miles from here and if it's too rusty, I might get that one from u. Thanks for the interchange info. also, Mike...that'll make it alot easier to get one here..we can still find a few old Datsuns around.
