BlondesN521s ('69) 521 Project

Recommended Posts

Hey i decided to make a thread all about this '69 521.

I am defiantly going to get it for $200.. It has a J series motor and tranny, but the one it comes with is ceased.

Getting the short length L20 series Transmission for $75

List of ideas so far:

  • Primer it black
  • Swap in the L20 motor (runs now but smokes.. so going to rebuild it) Going to pickup a good j series motor then put it in just so i can drive it around while we build the L20.
  • Get all the crustiness of the floors out
  • Carpet
  • Lower it (of course)

Better than being scrapped!

But it's my first one so it's gotta be worked on... that's why we're going to Washington to get a good running motor

Then just need a battery and tuned up and it will be drivable.. And while driving it around going to slowly rebuild the L20 :)

lets just hope your not like a bunch of other people who get to like 100 posts and loose interest and quit working on their datsun, and quit ratsun dry.gif
