herculesinwyoming
i found a heck of deal on a brand new flywheel for a 280z, would that flywheel work on the 4 cylinder engine, or is it balanced different? I figure it should work, but i figure thats why we have ratsun! to learn and share to prevent big mess ups. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Is it aluminum? I wouldnt worry about it. Truck flywheels are usually heavier. Im not sure on the Z car what stock weight is 280z is 225 your L20 truck should be 225mm also Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Hainz I'm pretty sure it will fit. I had one once and couldn't see any difference. 225mm. Quote Link to comment

datsunaholic
I believe the flywheels are balanced independent of the crankshaft. If you were blueprinting the engine you'd balance them together, but you'd also balance the rods and pistons too. Other than weight, I don't think there's much difference. Quote Link to comment
